2009 NJ Science Olympiad Workshop Announcement

The Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Lab will host a Science Olympiad mini-clinic for students, teachers, and parents on Saturday February 28, 2009 from 10:00AM -2:00 PM. Events that we are currently planning to cover include Earthquakes and Volcanoes, Meteorology and Rock My World. Interested students and teachers should contact Anand Gnanadesikan (anand.gnanadesikan AT noaa.gov) to preregister. Students and coaches from teams that are not advancing to states are welcome to attend. GFDL is located off Route 1, just north of Princeton. For directions go to the following site:

We are aware that this date conflicts with the NJ Regional Science Bowl at PPPL. PPPL is approximately one mile from our lab - so carpooling is possible. Students are welcome to attend without coaches. Updated information will be posted at http://www.gfdl.noaa.gov/~a1g/science_olympiad.html which also has links to the Dynamic Planet B website.
